COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Updates

I am sure you are aware from the current news coverage that Covid-19 (coronavirus), and steps to tackle it, is having a significant impact on everyone and how we live our lives.

At Lafford Homes, we take our responsibility to our customer’s health and well-being seriously and wanted to reassure you that we are here to help.

UPDATED March 2021

Changes to Ensure Service Delivery

Lafford Homes Ltd. are open and functioning, with some changes in line with the Government’s restrictions, these changes include:

Access to Offices

We are based at North Kesteven District Council Offices, Sleaford – reception is closed.  Residents and customers should find alternative ways of contacting us, this can be via our contact form or by email [email protected] or telephone 01529 303313.  If you have any problems contacting us this way please call North Kesteven District Council on 01529 414155 and explain you are a Lafford Homes tenant.

TENANTS – Repairs and Improvement Works

We are pausing all our non-essential improvement works, to ensure we are able to respond to essential repairs, faults with heating, etc.  Please continue to report these in the usual way – our repairs line is 01529 308332.
We may continue to carry out heating appliance servicing and works to comply with Health and Safety requirements, though only if absolutely necessary. Please help us to continue with these essential checks.

TENANTS – Home visits

For your safety and that of our staff, we will be stopping visits to homes unless absolutely essential.  In the event that we do have to visit, we will take the recommended precautions and ask that you do too, including advising us if you have symptoms or are isolating before our officers visit.

TENANTS – Communal Areas

For those living in blocks of flats please be aware that we are enhancing our current cleaning regime for the internal staircases, floors and handrails. The contractors who attend site to undertake this work will now be wearing full personal protective equipment. Please do not be alarmed when you see them, this is precautionary to protect themselves and minimise the risk of transmission.

POTENTIAL TENANTS – Viewings

We are now able to conduct viewings in empty properties by following the current Government guidelines on social distancing.  If a property is still occupied, viewings will not be conducted until the property is vacant.  Please check the availability date on the property advert – viewings are usually available from 14 days BEFORE the availability date.  If you would like us to, we can process a full application in anticipation of viewing – this speeds up the process if you decide you would like to apply for a tenancy after viewing.

All prospective tenants are required to complete an enquiry form before a viewing can be arranged – see our applications page for more details.  If you are interested in one of our properties, please first check the details fully on our properties page, then select the ‘make enquiry’ button to complete the enquiry form and we will be in touch to arrange a viewing.

Thank you for your support in these challenging times.
