Jason joined North Kesteven in 2005 as the Council’s Financial Services Manager and the lead finance officer on Housing finance. In 2018 he became Head of Finance. Previously Jason had spent 16 years in Local Government Finance working his way up from a Revenues Assistant before moving into Accountancy. Jason qualified as a chartered accountant in 2001 at Gedling Borough Council before moving as Chief Accountant to Broxtowe Borough Council in Nottinghamshire.
The Finance team that Jason heads at North Kesteven provides all the financial support for the Council, including setting the council’s financial plan, production of the annual Statement of Accounts, the provision of budget monitoring and reporting arrangements as well as the sundry debtor collection, invoice payment and income management functions.
Jason is also the Council’s Deputy Section 151 Finance Officer as well as being the lead officer on its ExCITe revenue income development programme.
Jason is married to Diane and they have a young daughter. He also has two other children from a previous marriage that visit on a regular basis. Jason has become a keen gardener and tries to enjoy the occasional sport but finds his athletic prowess is mainly confined these days within video games.
