Andrew is a Commercial Management leader who has led commercial management functions at FTSE quoted corporations in the UK. He is qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA) as well as a Chartered Surveyor – a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS). His experience spans a number of industries including infrastructure, financial services, housing, central government facilities management/outsourcing, consulting and civil engineering.
He has worked with clients such as the BBC, NHS, Unilever, Home Office, Ministry of Justice, National Crime Agency etc. He has managed high profile projects and the commercial functions of multi-million pound contracts at FTSE100 and FTSE250 companies such as Capita Plc, Interserve Plc, and Kier group Plc. He was also Lecturer at Aston University where he developed and delivered final year modules at the department of engineering systems and management. He has published in peer reviewed global journals and spoken at conferences.
He began his career after graduating with a BSc (Hons) degree in Building (Engineering & Management) by embarking on a career in the housing and infrastructure sector and he has been involved in the delivery and management of some high profile capital projects in the UK such as the Manchester Joint Hospitals PFI programme and the BBC MediaCityUK project. Following this, he became a university lecturer, after which he worked in the financial services sector, then in organisational financial transformation and currently in commercial management leadership.
He also holds an MSc (Engineering) degree from the University of Leeds, a PhD in Cost Management Engineering from the University of the West of England, Bristol and an MBA from the University of Warwick. He enjoys sports and supports Arsenal football club. Andrew is married and has three lovely children.
